DOUBLE VISION, a San Francisco based intermedia performance group, will be performing at GRAFFITI, a Tuesday night experimental art series. The group will be paring up with Schugariver promotion company to produce a night of ongoing performances including interactive dances, multiple live video projections, and installation. Attendees can freely roam amongst the performers whose actions are subject to the rules of Conway’s cellular automata algorithm known as the “Game of Life.” The result is a high-energy, chaotic, and immersive multimedia happening.

DOUBLE VISION's 4x60 Tour involves 10 performers, 5000 miles and 5 weeks of experimental and contemporary events that blend dance, video, sound, and installation. Nearly five years old, the company has performed in Bay Area venues such as the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Yerba Buena Center for the Arts, ODC Theater and the notorious Autonomous Mutant Festival.

GRAFFITI is a Tuesday Night Series Devoted to Urban Art, Music, Fashion and Visual Media located at San Diego’s BASIC Urban Kitchen + Bar. The series introduces a new level of culture to the East Village by this ongoing event featuring interactive art and music demonstrations. BASIC is a 5,000 square foot lounge and restaurant, converted from an authentic 1912 warehouse. The original brick walls are still intact, along with raw design elements to convey an industrial, street-inspired atmosphere.

the microscore project presents new 30-second music and microscores from around the globe, as well as some old favorites from their collection of over 300 microscores including works by James Tenney, Pauline Oliveros, Peter Ablinger, and DOUBLE VISION's own Sean Clute.

The Microscore Project is an ongoing collaboration between violnist Johnny Chang and cellist Jessica Catron that began in December 2001 during their final year of the MFA Performance Program at the California Institute of the Arts, and has since led to the commissioning and performance of over 225 miniature works from artists around the world - including distinguished composers such as Pauline Oliveros, Peter Ablinger, Philip Brownlee, Chiyoko Szlavnics, Harold Budd, Michael Pisaro, Hans W. Koch and James Tenney. Each piece written for the project is approximately 30-seconds in duration and the pieces are performed back-to-back to create a larger "work" that is unique to each concert. The spirit of experimentalism results in adventures involving materials such as glass bottles, wool gloves, Snapple caps, tree branches, AM/FM radios, and even margaritas.
